A Turkish ship named Kafkam Beteler with 12 crew members on board has gone missing in the Black Sea.
A storm in the Black Sea hit a Turkish cargo ship named Fikam Metiler, causing it to lose contact and go missing along with its 12-member crew, including the captain. The ship was reportedly passing through the waters of Amar Gully off the coast of Turkey's northwestern province of Zonguldak when the captain reported the incident on Sunday morning, according to Turkish authorities.
Officials stated that the hurricane in the area is posing challenges for sending rescue boats to search for the missing ship. Additionally, strong winds make it impossible to initiate the search using helicopters. According to officials, they have completed all preparations for commencing the rescue and search operations. The teams are also prepared, and they will dispatch the teams as soon as the weather conditions become suitable.
