Dr. Umar Saif, the Federal Minister of IT and Telecommunication

Dr. Umar Saif, the Federal Minister of IT and Telecommunication, stated that Pakistan maintains strong ties with member countries of the Digital Co-operation Organization (DCO). He mentioned that Pakistani IT companies aspire to broaden their business ventures in DCO member countries. Dr. Saif announced that Pakistan is set to host the first-ever "Digital Foreign Direct Investment" event during the upcoming year as part of its DCO responsibilities. These remarks were made during a video link meeting with Dima Ala Yaki, the Secretary General of DCO. The meeting focused on discussions between Pakistani IT companies and DCO member countries regarding business expansion and enhancing the ease of conducting business.

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Nigeria, and Oman form the Digital Co-Operation Organization. The organization convened a meeting to discuss operational matters, with the participation of Dr. Zia Al Qayyum, Executive Director of the Higher Education Commission, Asim Shehryar Hussain, CEO of Gunite, and Syed Junaid Imam, IT Member.
