Health Tech has unveiled the country's first telepresence robot.

Pakistan's health tech company has developed Pakistan's first tele-business robot. Which will provide medical professionals and physicians with the facility to perform clinical examinations on patients. In collaboration with Innovate It, the telepresence robot, fully developed indigenously, marks a significant breakthrough in healthcare and health education. It empowers physicians and medical professionals to remotely interact, including overseas interactions. They will also have the capability to inspect the country.

The robot features advanced communication facilities and sensors, streaming the patient's live image to specialists. Through this robot, medical professionals can directly communicate with the patient and accompanying paramedics. It includes a special laser lens for pinpointing specific parts of the patient's body. This allows paramedics to relay details to distant doctors using the cameras, enabling remote examinations by the doctors themselves.

Abdullah Butt, CEO of Egocast, a health-tech platform developing robots, stated that the goal of creating RoboPak is to ease pressure on Pakistan's healthcare system and address the shortage of manpower. It will help doctors to visit individual patients and specialist medical experts will also be able to sit in other parts of the country or abroad to examine their patients.
The Islamic Development Bank has also expressed interest in using this solution to reduce the pressure on healthcare systems and address workforce shortages in the Islamic world.
