Iran has revealed the state-of-the-art hypersonic missile "Fatah" during the ongoing arms exhibition hosted by the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. The Air and Space Division at the Iranian University, responsible for the event, showcased the Al-Fatah hypersonic missile and other weapons, including the domestically-produced drone 'Gaza.' Iranian media reports highlight that the Fatah missile reflects substantial advancements and significant changes in Iran's hypersonic missile technology.
The exhibition presented Iran's new air defense system, Mehran, the Shahid series of unmanned aerial vehicles, and the modernized version of 9DI missiles. It also unveiled short-range projectiles. Iran, along with China and Russia, launched the missile in a small club within the country. According to Iranian media, the Afth Two Hypersonic Glide Vehicle is a projectile glider capable of hitting its target after launch. The British news agency reports that Iran has not provided more details about the missile, but earlier Iranian officials stated that the Fateh missile has a speed of 5.1 kilometers per second and a range of 1400 kilometers.
