Punjab Government Advances Abdullahpur Jhamra Road Flyover Project with Vigorous Oversight

  

The Punjab government's special measures have initiated the preliminary work on the mega project of Abdullahpur Jhamra Road Flyover, with the FDA overseeing the process. The urban development project has been approved with a cost estimate of 1 billion 36 crores. Currently, the team is progressing with various aspects, including ground analysis, following the completion of test paving. Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayar Sheikh visited the flyover site to assess the project's progress and received a briefing on the department's performance thus far.

Chief Engineer FDA Mehr Ayub and Chief Resident Engineer NESPAK Amjad Saeed briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the technical aspects of the Abdullahpur Jhamra Road Flyover. They reported that they are conducting load tests through test pilings, and the results are currently under examination. The technical matters are expected to be finalized based on these results. They mentioned that the department is actively progressing with the construction work on the flyover as per the specified direction, ensuring all necessary requirements for the project are being addressed.

The Deputy Commissioner, while reviewing the flyover's drawing and design along with other technical aspects, instructed that due to the significance and utility of this mega project for urban development and traffic management, the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab has promptly approved it. Execute departmental tasks expeditiously for swift completion. If any obstacles or technical issues arise, report them immediately for timely resolution. The FDA officers and NESPAK engineers were urged to maintain their focus on this mega project, with their performance being evident on a daily basis.
