America has assured Islamabad, a key ally of Pakistan.

The US Department of State emphasized the significance of the relationship between the two countries and reassured Islamabad of its importance as an ally and partner during Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir's visit to Washington. 

International news agencies reported that General Asim Munir arrived in America on Sunday and is expected to hold meetings with key American officials from the Ministry of Defense, Foreign Policy, and National Security. Diplomatic sources suggest that he will meet with the US Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State, as well as the National Security Adviser at the White House.
