The Russian president disapproved of the statement made by US President Joe Biden regarding the attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed US President Joe Biden's statement as utter nonsense, asserting that Russia has no intention of attacking any NATO country even if it prevails in the war in Ukraine.

Putin stated that Moscow has no plans to engage in hostilities with NATO, emphasizing the absence of geopolitical, economic, political, or military interests in the military alliance. According to Putin, Biden's attempt to justify his flawed policy toward Russia is evident. Putin also mentioned that Finland's entry into NATO in April would compel Russia to deploy military units in northern Russia near its border.

In response to a senior US State Department official's statement, made anonymously last month, Putin insisted that he would not consider making peace until the outcome of the November US election is known. Putin criticized the West for failing to comprehend the profound changes since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, asserting that such changes have eliminated any genuine ideological basis for conflict between Russia and the West.
